This murder mystery game for 8 players allows its participants a fair degree of initiative and flexibility. Every character knows already at the beginning of the party what he or she has seen and done. Players decide for themselves when to bring up their observations. Four clues help the investigation along.

Murder in the Highlands

For one of the guests, a birthday party in Lochcairnie Castle has a deadly end.

This murder mystery game for teaching English is geared at level A2. It requires at least 24 players. Eight students are the suspects; the others are investigators. Cross-examinations, eavesdropping on recorded conversations and logical conclusions will solve the case.

Ludwig II. - Murder of the Swan King (German)

How and why did Ludwig II of Bavaria (the legendary Swan King who built Neuschwanstein Castle) die in the waters of Lake Starnberg? Find the answer to one of history's most puzzling assassinations.

This is a traditional murder mystery game for 6-8 players. In each of the three rounds the participants discover new facts. Reading out a short dialogue at the start of every round will help you get into character.

About the author

Uli Nater's criminal mind sees dead bodies wherever she goes. When she lived in Hungary, she plotted "Murder in the Puszta". Upon moving to Munich, she single-handedly resolved the hitherto unexplained death of Ludwig II of Bavaria (the historical "Swan King" who built Neuschwanstein Castle). The Scottish Highlands served as a backdrop for a third murder mystery game, which she devised for classroom use for learners of English. It remains to be seen which location will next be graced with one of her bloated, stabbed or strangled corpses...
